Energy Audits and Benchmarking

Blizzard has a specialist team that draws upon a range of proven evaluation and assessment tools to carry out detailed retrospective audits of electricity, natural gas, LPG, fuel oil, heating oil, water and waste water usage and expenditure for our clients. Our UtilityTrak™ platform is capable of processing and evaluating all utilities within a single database which can be viewed as a whole, or filtered to suit specific reporting requirements such as utility type, site, organisation or any other defined variable.

We use a two step process:

Firstly we conduct a strategic audit to identify those areas likely to yield the largest financial savings by reviewing both consumption and expenditure over a period of up to 2 years. Depending on the outcome of our initial analysis, this period may be extended for up to six years.

Secondly, and in consultation with the client, we manage a process of implementation to ensure that those savings identified are actually delivered.

Not only does an energy audit determine if clients are entitled to refunds from existing suppliers, but the database created in Utiltytrak provides an excellent basis from which to create accurate forecasts moving forward, and the essential information necessary to conduct procurement and tendering for new supply contracts.
