Automatic Monitoring & Targeting

Advances in metering technology, data collection often known as Automatic Meter Reading (AMR or “Smart Meters”), and automatic monitoring software within UtilityTrak™ has allowed M&T to progress towards Automatic Monitoring & Targeting or aM&T.

The benefits of aM&T are:-

  • Removes the need for manual data collection or entry;
  • More detailed data at half hourly resolution;
  • Better understanding of where and how efficiently energy is being used;
  • Detecting waste as quickly as possible.

aM&T is based on the automatic collection of utility data, which can be collected by a wide range of methods, e.g. Meters, BMS, Telemetry Systems.

Once the data has been collected from the meters it can then be transferred into UtilityTrak™ for analysis and reporting.
In addition, Blizzard can configure UtilityTrak™ to use Automatic Data Collection or ADC to allow collection of data from any data source, and transfer the data into UtilityTrak™.

One of the potential downsides of having so much detailed data is being able to find what you want and to analyse it in an easy fashion, something that is not usually practical using spreadsheets or home grown databases.  UtilityTrak™ can handle all this with ease, providing easy access to your data, advanced targeting features and exception reporting for analysing half hourly or Daily metered Utility and Process data.

Exception Reports are an important factor in aM&T since they highlight actual consumptions exceeding targets so they will be brought to the users attention as soon as possible. Reports can be distibuted electronically from UtilityTrak™ either via e-mail or via the internet in Adobe PDF or HTML format.
